A 22-year-old Farmingdale man was struck by car on Sunrise Highway Sunday morning and seriously injured, according to Suffolk County police.

Police say 19-year-old Dayanna Reyes-Renderos from East Patchogue was exiting the highway at Exit 51 around 4:18 a.m. when she struck Daniel Hoffmann, who was in the middle of the ramp.

The crash closed part of the roadway for several hours while police investigated.
