Hour-by-hour forecast: Severe storms possible this afternoon and evening
The extreme heat is expected to end Tuesday night, with temperatures dropping to the 80s for the rest of the week.There is the chance of a few passing late-day or evening showers or thunderstorms today, and a few of those storms could be strong.
News 12 is tracking those storms that began hitting the area this afternoon. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain, gusty wind and even possibly hail.
The storms are expected to move out of the region by around 10 p.m.
Today be hazy, hot and humid with highs around 90-95 degrees. The National Weather Service issued a heat advisory through 8 p.m. Tuesday.
