Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone wants to change the way county lawmakers authorize bonding and appropriations.
Bellone says Republicans have been approving projects but then voting against funding for those projects.
He introduced legislation to force lawmakers to vote on the project and funding at the same time.
News 12 reached out to GOP legislators but has not gotten a response.
