A Suffolk woman died last week in an ATV accident while on vacation in Greece.
Anastasia Fox, 28, was on the island of Mykonos when the ATV she was riding collided with a car. The incident left two others injured.
Fox graduated from Bay Shore High School and was a social worker. She was celebrating her birthday during her Grecian vacation just days before the crash.
"Her laugh, her voice…you could pick her out in a crowd,” said her aunt Kelly Anderson. “She would light up a room."
Fox’s family in Ronkonkoma told News 12 they are working with Greek authorities to have her body brought back to Long Island - a task made difficult because of the seven-hour time difference.
“Sleep is not coming easy for us these days," said Anderson.
Fox's family says they were told Anastasia should be home in seven to 10 days but are hoping for her to arrive sooner.
Fox's family is also working with Rep. Peter King's office to get her home as soon as possible. The Congressman says he is working with officials at the Greek embassy.
A
GoFundMe fundraiser has been set up to help pay for the costs of her funeral.
