Suffolk to kick off summer drive-in movie series Saturday at Smith Point County Park

Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone gave his Tuesday COVID-19 update, where he commented on the allowance of visitors at group homes and a decrease in county hospitalizations.

- Bellone thanks the governor for reinstating visitation at group homes starting Friday.
- Bellone says residents can reserve spot to see 'Jaws' at Smith Point County Park for their drive-in movie series. Starts June 20 at 8:30 p.m.
- Tickets are on a first-come, first-serve basis. County residents only, tickets are free.
- 'The numbers remain in a positive place' - 46 new COVID-19 cases. Total at 40,738.
- Number remains below 1% in positive tests.
- 2 additional deaths. Total of 1,957.
- Decrease in hospitalizations by 6 to 121. ICU beds remain at same level of 38.
- 62% hospital bed capacity. 58% ICU bed availability.
- 8 COVID-19 hospital discharges.
