Suffolk sheriff’s deputies rescued a kitten from a storm drain while on patrol Monday in Yaphank.

The sheriff’s office says they heard faint cries coming from the drain outside the John J. Foley building.

Upon further inspection, they discovered the animal and jumped into action to save it.

The kitten was adopted by one of the deputies and named Foley.
