Suffolk police say a 42-year-old who was stabbed in the chest while in a parking lot on East Main Street in Patchogue is recovering.

Police say the victim was able to drive himself to a relative's home on Brook Street and called police.

The victim was then rushed to the hospital with serious injuries.
