Homicide Squad detectives say a Babylon park ranger was involved in a shooting in Copiague around 4:45 p.m.

Suffolk police say a park ranger was injured during a shooting Saturday afternoon at Tanner Park Marina in Copaigue.
The ranger was investigating a report of a suspicious person in the park.
Police say the man lunged at the ranger with a knife. The ranger shot the suspect once in the chest.
The ranger was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
No arrests have been made yet.
