Suffolk police: Man rescued from waters after falling from Robert Moses Bridge

According to the Marine Bureau, the victim plummeted into the Great South Bay following a car accident.

A Roosevelt man was rescued from the Great South Bay after he fell off the Robert Moses Bridge early Sunday morning.
According to the Suffolk Police Marine Bureau, it happened after the victim was involved in a car accident heading toward West Islip.
Police say 21-year-old Edgardo Lopez got out of his car and fell off the bridge around 2:30 a.m.
According to police, Lopez was pulled from the water onto a boat about 10 minutes later.
He was treated for injuries that were not life-threatening at Good Samaritan Hospital.
