Suffolk County Off Track Betting has agreed to build a sound wall as a buffer between Jake's 58 Casino and nearby homes.
Neighbors have complained about the noise coming from the casino.
The announcement comes before a vote by Islandia officials next week on a potential $200 million casino expansion.
That plan includes a second building and a parking garage, along with upgrades to the hotels 210 guest rooms.
