A woman in labor received some help early Wednesday morning from Suffolk police officers.
At around 2:30 a.m., Officer Joseph Ferro saw a car stopped on Deer Park Avenue near Jericho Turnpike.
The driver told the officer that his wife was in labor and they needed help.
Officers Gerard Maxim and Jonathan Murray also responded to help the woman deliver a healthy baby girl.
The Dix Hills couple and their baby were taken to Huntington Hospital.
