A Suffolk County legislator is calling for an investigation into timesheets submitted by outgoing Police Commissioner Rodney Harrison.

Legislator Robert Trotta says he has received information from officials inside the department that Harrison allegedly changed leave days to sick days in order to receive a large payout when he leaves the county later this month.

Harrison announced his resignation last month after two years leading the department.

"Just months after admitting that he was secretly recording private conversations with the police commissioner, Trotta is back making more outrageous accusations about one of the most highly respected law-enforcement officers in our state and nation," Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone said.
