Suffolk inmates make hundreds of washable masks during pandemic
Inmates in Suffolk County are helping to stop the spread of the coronavirus by sewing masks.
The Suffolk Sheriff’s Office says in just a few days the inmates have made more than 800 washable face masks. They expect to have 1,200 in stock by the weekend.
The sheriff hopes to have enough to start donating them to outside agencies and essential workers, soon.
