Officials say bigger tax breaks are on the way for developers in Suffolk County that create affordable housing.
Suffolk IDA board members voted unanimously to approve a policy offering “enhanced benefits.”
Those will go to projects that set aside more than 10% of units at reduced rates.
It also applies to developers that reserve units for veterans and people with disabilities.
The benefits will be decided on a case-by-case basis.
