Suffolk DA: Man pleads guilty to criminally negligent homicide in rental home fire that killed 2 sisters

The home of Peter Miller, 56, and Pamela Miller, 55, was found to have a total of 29 code violations following a post-fire investigation.

A man pleaded guilty to criminally negligent homicide, and his wife pleaded guilty to reckless endangerment in connection to a fire that killed two sisters at the couple's rental home in Suffolk County, according to Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney.
The fire that killed 19-year-old Lindsay Wiener and 21-year-old Jillian Wiener happened in August 2022 in Noyac.
The sisters, from Maryland, were on vacation with their family at the rental home.
The home of Peter Miller, 56, and Pamela Miller, 55, was found to have a total of 29 code violations following a post-fire investigation. Both were arrested after surrendering at the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office on Thursday. They pleaded guilty on Monday.
The Millers are due back in court on Nov. 7.
