A Holtsville man has pleaded guilty to stealing a car with a 14-month-old baby sleeping inside, according to Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney.
Tierney says 56-year-old Paul Ludeman admitted to driving while impaired and stealing the vehicle with the infant inside in February.
A good Samaritan helped the infant's grandmother remove the baby from the car before Ludeman crashed into a guardrail in Greenport.
Ludeman is due back in court next month.
