A man was fatally shot in front of his North Bellport home Wednesday, detectives say.

Officials say Lee Houpe was standing outside of his residence on 615 Post Ave. at around 1:45 p.m. when a male driver shot him.

Houpe, 28, was transported to Long Island Community Hospital in Patchogue where he was pronounced dead.

The driver fled in an unknown direction.
