A Stop Asian Hate rally was held at the Dennison Building in Hauppauge on Saturday.

Community members, such as Thomas Joy, a Suffolk police officer, says it was important to put together a rally to show support for Asian American brothers and sisters across the country.

The rally also provided residents resources and information on how to report issues of hate crimes.

Joy says the Asian American population on Long Island is one of the smallest, but fastest growing communities.
