Suffolk cop killed in crash laid to rest

Officers from around the region attended Officer Ciano's funeral at Our Lady of Snow Catholic Church in Blue Point.
Fellow police officers call Ciano a ?cop?s cop.? Ciano was a 22-year veteran of the force, a husband and father of two.
?He was just a great cop and an even better man and friend,? Suffolk Police Officer John Deasy says.
According to authorities, Officer Ciano, 45, was killed Sunday when his police car was broadsided by 23-year-old Jose Borbon, of Plainview. Police say Borbon had twice the legal blood alcohol level when he hit the police car.Borbon has been charged with aggravated DWI and may be charged with homicide. He is due back in court March 25.
