A special job fair was held Wednesday in Brentwood for Long Island veterans.
The job fair, sponsored by Suffolk County, was held at the gym at the Suffolk County Police Academy. More than 70 Long Island companies attended the fair, looking to hire veterans.
The fair also featured groups that offer veterans services like housing, financial and legal help.
"I feel like they have done so much [for] us, it is heartwarming to give just a little bit back to them," says Rogerlyn Cipriano, from the group Angels for Warriors.
The fair was part of a program that offers tax breaks to companies that hire veterans.
