Subway service restored after smoking manhole causes power outage near 149th Street-Third Avenue station

A smoking manhole knocked out power to part of the South Bronx, temporarily bringing some subway trains to a standstill.  The MTA says service has been restored to the No. 2 and 5 trains in both directions.

A smoking manhole knocked out power to part of the South Bronx, temporarily bringing some subway trains to a standstill. 
The MTA says service has been restored to the No. 2 and 5 trains in both directions.
The outage occurred near the 149th Street-3rd Avenue station.
