Study: Medical masks are better than cloth masks to prevent infection

A new study finds cloth masks are not as good as medical masks when it comes to preventing illness.
The study in the journal Emerging Infectious Diseases says cloth masks are better than nothing, but they should not be used by medical professionals.
In a clinical trial study conducted in Vietnam, N-95 masks or fitted medical grade masks were found to have a much lower risk of infection than cloth masks.
The study took place before the coronavirus, but it focused on health care workers exposed to a flu-like illness.
