Students in Red Bank are hoping a new fundraising effort will help them bring a single night of peace to children in Ukraine.
About 300 students from Saint James Elementary School are teaming up with a company called Datavault Holding for what's being described as a "Crypto Prayer" campaign.
Block-chain technology, which powers cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, is being utilized so that the $10 donations can be tracked as they make their way through Ukrainian humanitarian organizations. It also comes with a digital "prayer card" for donors.
The proceeds are apparently going to the children's division of Saint Jude, which is helping Ukrainian youths on the ground.
