Calhoun High School students are grabbing razors to help fight cancer.Students and faculty at the Merrick high school are shaving their heads as part of St. Baldrick's Day. The day is held every year to help raise money for childhood cancer research.The school has been holding the event for the past three years. Peter Magnuson, a teacher and coach at the school, says $36,000 was raised in the first year and $150,000 was raised last year. The school's goal this year is $175,000.Jessica Selenza-Salvatore, a senior at Calhoun, says the event is very personal for her. Her 9-month-old brother died last month from cancer and she says she is determined to make sure more children don't die from cancer.St. Baldrick's Foundation
