All of the Long Island cases are in Nassau County. So far, no confirmed cases have been reported in Suffolk County.
Three of the patients from Long Island are hospitalized and the other is quarantined at home.
All of the Nassau County cases are connected to one another. The first reported case was a 42-year-old Uniondale man and the other three are women, who have been described as his close contacts.
Testing is set to get underway at several medical centers throughout the state, including Northwell Health's laboratory in Lake Success.

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio says an Uber driver who tested positive in Queens works on Long Island. The ride share company says that driver no longer has access to the app.
Cuomo says he expects and hopes to find more positive cases so those people can be treated and quarantined.
"The more positives you find, the better, because then you can isolate them and you slow the spread," Cuomo says.
Dozens of people on Long Island are already being quarantined.
