Farmingville man struck, seriously injured by hit-and-run driver

Police say a man was struck by a hit-and-run driver in Farmingville.

According to police, 24-year-old Gabriel Perez was hit at the intersection of Portion Road and North Morris Avenue around 10:30 p.m. Thursday.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found Perez lying in the road.

The Farmingville man was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital in serious condition.

Detectives ask anyone with more information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
