Suffolk police say they arrested a suspect Friday in a road rage stabbing that took place on Thanksgiving.
Authorities say the incident took place in a parking lot around 2:30 p.m. on Wading River Road at South Street.
Cops say the victim, a 44-year-old Manorville man, pulled over into a nursery parking lot after he believed his 2017 Hyundai was struck by a gray 2010 Volvo.
Investigators say Gregory Spina, 43, of Glen Cove, was driving erratically and tried to pass several vehicles including the victim’s car.
Police say Spina also stopped in the lot where both drivers got into a fight, which ended in a stabbing. They say Spina fled east on South Street.
The victim was rushed to Stony Brook University Hospital with a stab wound to his stomach.
Spina was charged with assault in the second degree and is expected to be arraigned Saturday in First District Court in Central Islip.
