A lawsuit has been filed in the deadly Cutchogue crash between a pickup truck and a limousine making a U-turn that killed four young women.
Olga Lipets, 24, of Brooklyn, survived the July 18 crash with serious injuries.
Lipets is suing the limo driver, the limo company, the pickup truck driver and the company he co-owns for unspecified damages.
The crash broke Lipets' leg and her jaw remains wired shut. Her lawyer, Jason Paris, says she is in a lot of both physical and emotional pain, and is now recovering at home.
Paris says his client was attending graduate school for a master's degree in speech-language pathology before the crash. She has not been able to attend class since.
The lawyer says he also plans to file another lawsuit next week against Suffolk County or the Town of Southold for what he calls negligence on their part for failing to make the intersection where the crash occurred safe, despite previous complaints from residents.
