The approaching system will usher in a prolonged period of northeast winds, steady to heavy rainfall and the potential for coastal flooding. Rainfall amounts are expected to range between 1 to 3 inches, with widespread pockets of heavier precipitation likely.
Sunday and Monday potentially can see winds gust up to 35-50 mph along the shoreline. Inland areas will see gusts of 30-35 mph. Due to the persistence and direction, there may be minor damage that can lead to sporadic power outages.
SUNDAY: Storm Watch - Cloudy with rain moving in through the day. A nor'easter will advance northward, increasing the wind potential overnight into Monday. Highs: upper 50s to low 60s. Lows: upper 40s.
MONDAY: Storm Watch - Cloudy, batches of rain likely, gusty winds at times. Coastal impacts are possible for Westchester County. Highs: upper 50s to low 60s. Lows: upper 40s to low 50s.
TUESDAY: Partly cloudy and breezy at times but drier. Highs: low 60s. Lows: upper 40s to low 50s.
WEDNESDAY: Mix of sun and clouds. Highs: mid to upper 60s. Lows: mid to upper 40s.
THURSDAY: Partly cloudy and breezy. Highs: upper 50s to low 60s. Lows: upper 30s to low 40s.
