The gusty winds make a comeback for Wednesday night and this time they could gust up to 60 mph

FORECAST:

A sharp cold front will deliver some brief gusty storms and damaging wind gusts Wednesday night.

There is a risk of isolated showers and even some thunderstorms, especially north of I-84 Wednesday evening. However, the rain won't last long and there is a risk that some storms could have powerful wind gusts. The winds will become more widespread after 8 p.m.

The weather will remain quiet with lighter winds tonight. This means temperatures will drop more and low temperatures will fall into the 30 to 40 degrees. Winds will be light to start the day, then steadily pick up with the worst occurring overnight.

Temperatures Wednesday afternoon will be warmer with highs in the lower 60s. It will turn colder Thursday, then warm back up briefly by Saturday. More rain heads our way early Saturday and then again on Sunday.

WIND ALERT:

The National Weather Service has issued a High Wind Watch for Wednesday starting at 8 p.m. and continuing through Thursday at 8 a.m. The winds will be following the sharp cold front and will be west 20-30 mph with gusts up to 60 mph. Winds could bring down trees and cause power outages. Secure loose objects outside your home, take down decorations prior to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
