News 12 meteorologists are tracking a storm that will bring the threat of heavy rain to the area into early Saturday.
Showers overnight will be heavy at times and last through daybreak Saturday. Lows will be near 42 degrees.
On Saturday, the rain ends around 10 a.m. with some clearing during the afternoon. Highs will be near 48 degrees.
By the time the precipitation rolls out, totals of nearly an inch of rain are possible. The highest amounts will be seen in eastern Suffolk.
There is a chance of a brief rain shower in the evening Saturday, then it'll be partly cloudy at night with lows near 32 degrees.
On Sunday, it will be breezy and chilly with a mix of sun and clouds, highs near 45 degrees, but wind chills in the 30s.
