A Stony Brook pizzeria owner won $1 million from the New York Lottery, but he says he's still going to work.
Dimitrios Hatzisotiriou, who owns Manhattan Pizza at the corner of Stony Brook Road and Route 347, received his check Thursday.
He says he bought the winning ticket on Dec. 2, his 73rd birthday.
"I saw 36 on the top, 36 on the bottom, keep scratching," Hatzisotiriou explains. "Jackpot!"

He also won a $56,000 Take 5 prize about 25 years ago, he says. That time, he bought a used car. This year, he says he's going to pay off his bills and house, buy a new car and travel overseas to his native Greece. He might even consider handing over the pizza business to his brother George, who also works there.
"Best birthday I ever have," he says.
