Authorities found a Franklin Square family's stolen handicapped accessible van Wednesday.
As News 12 reported, the $80,000 customized Ford conversion van was taken from the driveway of Rob and Kristen Gasperetti.
They use the van to transport their two sons, Brian, 20, and Dylan, 13, who have rare genetic disorder that affects their nervous systems.
The van was spotted on Franklin Avenue and Agnes Court by Officer Matthew McMahon.
"Not often do you recover a vehicle in its entirety -- so it's a good feeling to recover it, especially for these children," McMahon says.
The vehicle had minor damage near the ignition switch, but police say that's an easy fix.
Police have searched the car for evidence and are asking anyone with information about the theft to call them at 1-800-244-TIPS.
