The Department of Consumer Protection Food, Standards and Product Safety Division (DCP) said Stew Leonard's voluntarily recalled its chicken salad and sliced chicken for possibly containing undeclared milk.

The products were sold at Stew Leonard's deli department between August 2022 and Jan. 29, 2024. The products were sold in Connecticut, New York and New Jersey.

Recalled products are:

  • Sliced and Shaved Chicken

  • Sliced and Shaved Buffalo Chicken

  • Chicken Salad

  • Chicken Salad Sub Sandwich

  • Buffalo Chicken Salad

  • Boom Boom Chicken Salad

  • Cape Cod Chicken Salad (sold in Norwalk, CT only)

  • Lite Chicken Salad (sold in Norwalk, CT only)

The company says only the Cape Cod Chicken Salad and the Lite Chicken Salad were sold at the Norwalk Stew Leonard's.

Products can be returned for a refund.

This is the second Stew Leonard's recall this year.

The first recall was for undeclared peanuts in cookies, which attorneys say killed at 25-year from New York with a peanut allergy.
