Steven Santo, of North Bellmore, accused in Southern State Parkway hit-and-run
Police say they have made an arrest in a hit-and-run on the Southern State Parkway.
According to police, Steven Santo has been identified as the driver who side-swiped another car on the eastbound Southern State Parkway Friday night. The incident occurred near Newbridge Road at exit 25. Police say the North Bellmore driver admits he was high on heroin at the time.
Police used the plate number given to them by the victim to track down the owner of the car, who led them to Santo.
News 12 Long Island has learned Santo had four outstanding warrants for his arrest before the crash.
Santo will be back in court tomorrow.
