A Staten Island resident was seriously injured following an overnight crash in Dix Hills, police say.
Koray Kurulgan was driving a 2005 Mini Cooper eastbound on the Long Island Expressway near Exit 52 around 1:30 a.m. Saturday.
That's when, police say, he crashed into the back of a tractor-trailer that was parked on the right shoulder.
The driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured in the crash.
News 12 was told that Kurulgan was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
