The annual list of the 12 filthiest restaurants in New York City has prompted a legislator from the Bronx to push a bill that would make the establishments post their letter grade.

State Sen. Jeff Klein (D-Bronx) wants to require restaurants to make visible their grades in hopes of forcing the eateries to clean up their act.

"We need to let the public know whether their local eateries are sanitary and clean or are filthy and failing inspections time and time again," Klein says.

One restaurant from the Bronx that made the list is the Popcorn HOF and Bar on 204thStreet. During its last inspection by the city's Department of Health in April, the restaurant received numerous violations including evidence of rats, mice and a failure to protect food from contamination.
