A 19-year-old accused of breaking into a former Fishkill prison on Saturday has been charged with trespassing.

State police say Cody Mallon crawled through a hole in the fence of the Downstate Correction Facility to take photos of the premises.

He then got locked inside one of the cells. Troopers and members of the Glenham Fire Department removed him and then placed him under arrest.

Authorities say he was issued an appearance ticket and will return to the Town of Fishkill Court at a later date.
