State police announced Sunday that a 15-year-old Neptune girl who went missing has been safely located.

Police say Payton Cox went missing the night of Sunday Feb. 16 after officials say she boarded a train from Long Branch that was headed to New York City.

She was last spotted on video surveillance in New York City on Tuesday.

State police thanked everyone for their assistance in sharing her picture and information.
