State education leaders discuss how schools can prepare for year during COVID-19
New York's top education leaders held a virtual education summit Tuesday to discuss how schools can prepare for the upcoming academic year while dealing with the pandemic.
One issue brought up was the loss of progress through remote learning during the spring.
Officials say they're trying to figure out how to keep it from happening again.
Students won't be the only ones getting help - New York's interim education commissioner says the state is also working on ways to support teachers as they continue adjusting to digital teaching.
