The state is allowing more businesses to stay open until 11 p.m. due to the declining COVID-19 rate.
Charles Cassara, who owns two SC Fit gyms on Long Island, says the state's curfew extension will not have a direct impact on his bottom line.
Dr. Sharon Nachman, with Stony Brook Children's Hospital, says that the the benefit of the extra hour could be the opportunity for more, but still safe, socialization.
Cassara adds that since the curfew extension comes as statewide COVID-19 infection and hospitalization rates are on the decline, a place that focuses on health and wellness should be given even more consideration when it comes to easing the current restrictions.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo says the state will continue to monitor infection and hospitalization numbers and make adjustments as needed when it comes to extending the curfew to more businesses.
