The Sgt. Paul Tuozzolo Memorial Spray Park in Elwood Park opened Wednesday.
As News 12 has reported, Sgt. Tuozzolo was shot and killed while responding to a domestic incident in the Bronx in November 2016.
Tuozzolo's wife calls the park a fitting tribute for her husband who she says brought happiness to everyone he met.
The park has a police department theme and features push-button technology for efficient water use. The water runoff will be collected and reused to irrigate the park's fields.
