A report from the Southern Poverty Law Center says hate groups are on the rise across the nation and here on the Island.
The record label Wolftyr Productions is listed as a Long Island hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center. Wolftyr's website says it specializes in "pagan black metal" but the SPLC says it caters to avowed Nazis.
The report also identifies Ku Klux Klan chapters in both Hampton Bays and Hempstead. A group called Act for America was listed for what the SPLC calls an anti-Muslim agenda. That group has chapters in Lynbrook and Hauppauge.

“It’s not that it's new, it has always been here,” says Elaine Gross, president of ERASE Racism. “It is very disturbing that hate is being more normalized.”
