The legendary Belmont Stakes will bring back something in 2021 that was missing last year -- fans.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced Wednesday that capacity at tracks like Belmont Park and Aqueduct Racetrack will be capped at 20%.
The New York Racing Association said it was gearing up to host fans at its thoroughbred tracks at Belmont Park this spring and Saratoga Racecourse this summer.
Spectators will be required to wear a mask, social distance and provide proof of a recent negative test or completed vaccinations.
The change takes effect next Friday, just in time for the start of Belmont's horse racing season.
