The Suffolk SPCA is now offering a $7,500 reward for information related to targeted attacks on geese in the Hauppauge area. The reward increased Wednesday from the original $2,000.

Officials say several “gruesome” incidents have occurred at night along Wireless Boulevard, where a white Jeep Grand Cherokee was reportedly seen deliberately striking the waterfowl.

The first incident happened on April 4 at around 10 p.m. The attacks occurred again on April 15, when the driver struck several geese, then later returned to the same location and hit two more.

Video released by the SPCA shows the vehicle returning to the scene and slowing down, which officials say suggests "intentional and repeated acts of cruelty."

The reward will be issued only if information leads to an arrest and conviction.

All tips are confidential, and the SPCA urges anyone with information to come forward and report acts of animal cruelty.
