Southwest Airlines has announced that it will be cutting direct service between Islip and Chicago starting in June.
Southwest says there is not enough demand at MacArthur Airport for the route.
Any cutbacks by Southwest at MacArthur are a concern because more than 90 percent of the airport's passengers use the airline.
