Department of Public Works crews worked overnight to keep South Shore streets clear of snow for Wednesday's commute.

One worker told News 12 that strong wind gusts created challenges for workers plowing and laying down salt Tuesday.

The DPW commissioner urged drivers to keep cars in driveways overnight to help the plowing process.

More than 10 inches of snow is expected to fall by Wednesday morning.
