The town of Oyster Bay marked the anniversary of the September 11th attacks Sunday with a ceremony at its Tobay Beach memorial.
Victims' relatives gathered to reflect on their loved ones who were among the thousands who perished in the attacks on the World Trade Center. Five years later, many say, they continue to struggle with the tragedy.
Town Supervisor John Venditto says family members? input was crucial to designing the memorial, which was completed in August 2005. It names almost 90 people who were from Oyster Bay or lived there. The memorial also contains a steel beam recovered from the site.
