SNAP food assistance benefits extended through July

New York state has added more than $100 million in emergency food assistance for those struggling during the COVID-19 pandemic.

New York state has added more than $100 million in emergency food assistance for those struggling during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Around 700,000 people enrolled in the SNAP program will receive the maximum allowable benefit for July to help them with food insecurity.
The benefits will be distributed later this month.
It marks the fifth consecutive month all SNAP recipients received the maximum benefit.
