Wednesday's smoky haze changed plans all across the Island as sporting events were called off and some flights were delayed.
The Ducks game was canceled just moments before the first pitch because of the poor air quality.
Some flights were delayed at MacArthur Airport while other trips were completely halted at LaGuardia Airport in Queens.
